One of my favorite parts of AT&T park -- the Coca Cola bottle and the baseball glove behind the bleachers. The Coke bottle is 80 feet long and houses a kid's slide. The glove is a steel and fiberglass representation of a 1927 four-finger baseball glove. To my knowledge, no one has ever hit that glove with a ball from home plate. | |
This was the crucial seventh inning. It started with two Pirate singles, followed by a successful bunt to Pablo Sandoval on the third base side, pictured. Turns out the sacrifice wasn't necessary. The next batter, Clint Barmes, hit a three-run homer. Lou Seal's rally cap wasn't enough. |
