Finally, two years later, we traded in our
20-year-old Subaru for a brand new
2017 Chevy Volt.
We can recharge it in our garage, and will now
take full advantage of those solar panels!

We're not sure how old the roof on our house was, but we knew that it needed to be replaced. In the summer of 2014, we contracted with R E Roofing to do the job. As long as we were going to take the roof off, we decided to install solar panels and a "whole house fan," an effective substitute for air conditioning. R E Roofing installed the fan and Cobalt Power Systems designed and installed our solar system. The construction took about a week.
