| In the Summer and Fall of 2009, we undertook a major renovation of the backyard in Los Altos. We had taken out our swimming pool and concrete pool deck several years earlier, and in 2009, the wooden deck and what was left of the concrete followed. We had basically a large, empty space (except for the dirt and weeds). Working with Lomax Landscaping, the space was transformed into something entirely new and beautifully functional. Andy and Carmen came for their first visit in April 2010. The plants were just awakening to their first Spring, and we were enjoying the new patio table and BBQ. Andy tossed some horseshoes too. See how the Dogwood tree (behind Andy) |
