Wedding Day
We all met Andy and Carmen as they came out onto the courtyard, and walked with them to the church while the bells
rang out throughout the village.

Along with the minister, Andy and Carmen arranged the ceremony to include readings and prayers in both German and English, as well as a lot of music. They were presented with a family Bible, which Andy is holding, above. |

After the ceremony, Andy and Carmen
demonstrated their log-cutting skills
(another German tradition),
then accepted congratulations
at a sparkling wine reception.

Even the flower children celebrated.
|
|
Afterward, we followed Andy and Carmen's
flower-decorated Volkswagon to the reception celebration
at Hinterconti in Bretzenheim.
