Weighing more than 200 tons, the monumental sculpture Sequence by Richard Serra was installed at the Cantor Art Center on the Stanford campus in 2011.
Standing 13 feet tall, the piece consists of two interlocking figure eights constructed of contoured steel. Viewers can walk through the sculpture, experiencing architectural shapes and spaces enhanced by sun and shadow.
