My good friend Teresa was having a party and many of the folks that I had sung with for years would be there. That seemed like a good reason to fly back to California for a weekend where I would see friends and visit places I hadn't seen in a while.

The house we'd lived in for 30 years has been remodeled, but the oak tree we'd planted in the front is stilll there.
Most of Saturday was spent driving around with my friend Mary, including a stop for lunch at Alice's.
We also drove around some of my favorite places on the Stanford campus.
Dinner with Teresa on Saturday night at Casa Gelpi was a highlight of the weekend. Thanks go to Guillermo for these pictures!
Then on Sunday afternoon, my fellow alto Maureen and her husband
hosted a get-together in Teresa's honor.
Teresa is moving on to new challenges and responsibilities,
but she is leaving a legacy that we can share in and be proud of.
