Our next destination was the Moselle River. On the way, we stopped to visit this impressive castle.

Burg Eltz is still occupied today by the same family that lived there in the 12th century, 33 generations ago.

The castle is beautifully preserved (you can see some restoration being done in this photo), and we toured several of its rooms.
